What documents do I need to open an account？

Hello, Moomoo Financial Inc. supports account opening for users aged 18 and above. Please prepare valid proof of identity and proof of address documents in advance based on your tax residency status.

1. Proof of Identity
- If you choose to open an account as a U.S. tax resident: Please prepare a valid SSN (Social Security Number).
- If you choose to open an account as a Non-U.S. tax resident: Please prepare a passport.

Please note that opening a Moomoo Financial Inc. account with a Mainland China passport requires an additional valid overseas proof of identity, including but not limited to a permanent resident card (Green Card), work visa, student visa, and Hong Kong ID card.

2. Proof of Address
- If you choose to open an account as a U.S. tax resident: Please prepare a valid proof of U.S. address document.
- If you choose to open an account as a Non-U.S. tax resident: Please prepare a valid non-Mainland China overseas address proof document.

Valid Proof of Address (Applicable to All Users)
Please provide one of the following below documents:
1. Bank statement;
2. Rental contract;
3. Utility bills;
4. Brokerage statement;
5. Insurance statement;
6. If your proof of identity includes a residential address, it can also serve as proof of address (subject to the region).

Requirements for Proof of Address (Applicable to All Users)
Please ensure the proof of address document clearly displays all of the following information:

- Issue date (must be issued within the last 3 months)
- Name (must exactly match the name on your proof of identity)
- Residential address
- Name of the issuing institution
