How do I open an account with moomoo？

1. Download and install the moomoo app.

2. Register a moomoo account;

3. Click "Get Started";

4. Select your tax residency as the United States or Other Country.

• Selecting the United States as your tax residency: Please prepare your SSN (Social Security Number) and a valid U.S. address.
• Selecting Other Country as your tax residency: Please prepare your passport or ID card and proof of address.

5. Fill in the account opening information as guided on the page. When uploading documents, please follow the below requirements to ensure a smooth review:

• Please upload a photo of the original document. Do not upload scanned documents or screenshots.
• Please make sure all four edges of the document are visible.
• Please use a dark/high-contrast background.
• To avoid glare, please do not use flash to take a photo.
• Please take a photo directly above the document.
• Please ensure all of the documents are valid for 3 months beyond now.

6. Submit your application to open a new account.

Notes:

• ID Issuance Country/Region: During the account opening process, you will need to select the "ID Issuance Country/Region." If your ID issuing country/region is not listed, we currently do not support opening an account for you.

• Estimated Processing Time: After submitting your application, new accounts are expected to take 1–3 business days to review. We will send you immediate notifications once the review is approved.

• Supplementary Documents: During the review process, if additional documents are needed to verify your identity, we will send you an in-app notifications or email. Please submit the required documents following the instructions and link provided in the notification.
