How to deposit funds via INTERAC e-Transfer®?

1. How to deposit funds via INTERAC e-Transfer®

To deposit funds into your account using INTERAC e-Transfer, please follow the steps below.

 

1.1 Submit deposit request on the moomoo app

  • Go to Accounts > Select an account > Transfers > Deposit > Select CAD Currency > INTERAC e-Transfer®.

 

1.2 Accept the payment request on your bank app or online banking platform

  • Follow the prompts in the moomoo app and click the button to be redirected to your bank app or online banking platform to accept the payment request.

  • Alternative method: Check the email sent to the address linked to your moomoo account – you can also accept the request via this email.

  • The payment request will expire in 1 day. Please complete the payment within this validity period.

 

1.3 Check deposit status

To view the status of your deposit:

  • Go to Accounts > Select an account > Transfers > Deposit > Funding History.

  • Fund deposit requests submitted on trading days between 16:00 ET and 20:00 ET will remain in the "Processing" status until around 20:00 ET on the same day.

  • Should you accept the payment request through your bank (mobile app or online banking platform) but the status remains in "Processing", we recommend contacting your bank to verify the transfer details and arrange for fund disbursement. While this is a rare scenario, it may occasionally occur.

 

Notes:

  • To deposit via INTERAC e-Transfer®, clients must have a valid email address linked to their moomoo account.

  • INTERAC e-Transfer® is available for Cash Account, Margin Account and Registered Accounts (TFSA & RRSP & SRRSP).

  • The name on the bank account must match the name on your moomoo account. If the names do not match, the deposit will not be accepted.

Transfers on trading days between 16:00 ET-20:00 ET will arrive at 20:00 ET the same day.

Deposit Limit

The deposit limit is subject to regulations set by moomoo and your bank (which may vary by banks).

Moomoo Limit:

25,000 CAD per transaction

Most Bank Limits:

3,000 CAD per Day

10,000 CAD per week

20,000 CAD per month

Your banks may allow you to increase your transfer limit. We recommend contacting your bank for further details.

Withdrawal Hold*

Funds will be available for withdrawal from the next trading day onwards.

*Note: Once funds are deposited in your account, a hold will be placed on the funds for a period of time. During this hold period, some withdrawal requests can not be processed.
