How to deposit funds via EFT

1. How to deposit funds via EFT

To deposit funds into your account using Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT), please follow the steps below.

 

1.1 Link your bank account

  • To link a bank account for the first time:

    • Go to Accounts > Select an account > Transfers > Deposit > Select Deposit Account > Electronic Funds Transfer

  • To add a new bank account:

    • Go to Accounts > Select an account > Transfers > Deposit > Select Deposit Account > Electronic Funds Transfer > BANK OF > Add New Bank Account

1.2 Deposit funds

Once your bank account is successfully linked, return to the moomoo app to start your deposit.

  • Go to Accounts > Select an account > Transfers > Deposit > Select Deposit Account > Electronic Funds Transfer

 

1.3 Check deposit status

To view the status of your deposit:

  • Go to Accounts > Select an account > Transfers > Deposit > Funding History

 

Bank Transfer Notes

  • The name on the bank account must match the name on your brokerage account. If the names do not match, the deposit will not be accepted, and any fees incurred from refunding the deposit will be your responsibility. Please note that if you are depositing into a Spousal Retirement Savings Plan account (SRRSP), the bank account holder's legal name may match either the account holder or the spouse.

Up to 100,000 USD per 7 business days

Withdrawal Hold*

Hold period is 3 business days after the funds arrive in your account for any withdrawal to the originating bank account.

Hold period is up to 90 calendar days after the funds arrive in your account for any withdrawal to another bank account.

*Note: Once funds are deposited in your account, a hold will be placed on the funds for a period of time. During this hold period, some withdrawal requests cannot be processed.
