Moomoo's Sydney customers join OzHarvest to 'cook with a cause'
Moomoo Australia proudly partnered with OzHarvest for a special 'Cooking with Cause' night, attended by 40 of moomoo's Sydney users and staff.
Under OzHarvest's expert supervision, attendees prepared a Lunar New Year feast, from dumplings to pineapple tarts, from rescued food, to be shared with people in need in nearby communities.
More than 100 meals were prepared, distributed the next day at the OzHarvest market Waterloo. Moomoo's involvement also supported the OzHarvest Food Rescue Van, which operates year-round, collecting non-perishable food items and delivering them to local charities.
Food wasn't the only point of the evening. Moomoo also served investing insights, with market strategists Jessica Amir and Michael McCarthy, joining OzHarvest's Louise Tran, in an ethical investing panel discussion. They highlighted the performance of this investment category, and the stocks and sectors to watch — tying in seamlessly with the event theme of responsible consumption and social impact.
The OzHarvest event is one-way moomoo is working to connect with local communities, and communicate its mission to bring 'smarter investing' within the reach of all. Moomoo wants to open the world of sharemarket investing, so it becomes an accessible avenue for Australians of all backgrounds to achieve their financial goals.
