    Recently, there have been incidents of fraudsters impersonating Moomoo Malaysia or misusing the moomoo brand name to conduct fraudulent activities online. To protect our users and the investing public, Moomoo Malaysia hereby issues the following official statement.

    Is Moomoo Legal in Malaysia? Moomoo Securities Malaysia Sdn. Bhd., a licensed entity regulated by the Securities Commission Malaysia (SC) under the Capital Markets and Services Act 2007. We strictly comply with all relevant regulatory requirements and remain committed to providing a safe, secure, and transparent trading experience for our clients.

    The moomoo app is an investment and trading platform offered by Moomoo Technologies Inc.

    Unfortunately, malicious actors have been impersonating Moomoo Malaysia or the moomoo app with the intent to deceive the public and illegally obtain funds. Fraudulent tactics include, but are not limited to:

    1. Setting up fake websites or apps that closely imitate the official moomoo platform.

    2. Deceiving clients into sharing sensitive information via unofficial links or “verification” requests.

    3. Impersonating moomoo staff to lure users into WhatsApp, Telegram, or other groups promoting fake investment schemes.

    4. Requesting transfers of money to third-party personal or corporate accounts under the pretense of moomoo account funding or investments.

    • We do not use personal phone numbers or unofficial accounts to contact clients.

    • We do not provide investment tips, stock recommendations, or advisory services via WhatsApp, Telegram, WeChat, or other messaging platforms.

    • We do not accept deposits into personal or third-party bank accounts. All funding instructions are provided only within the official app and website.

    • We do not use third-party agents or intermediaries for account opening. Clients must complete onboarding directly via the moomoo app.
