2.1 Short Selling Interest Rate

The short selling interest rate is an annual rate calculated based on 365 days per year.
The interest rate is generally influenced by the risk level of the stock, its liquidity, the short selling ratio (the proportion of available shares to the total shares), and market conditions. It is not a fixed value.
The short selling interest rate may fluctuate at any time depending on the stock, date, and time. After you execute a short selling transaction, the interest payable on your positions may vary each calendar day. You can view the daily rate at settlement time in your daily statement.

2.2 Market Value of Borrowed Securities

The market value of the borrowed securities is determined by their settlement price, which is equal to the closing price on the transaction date.

2.3 Interest Accrual and Payment

Interest accrual starts from (and includes) the settlement date of the short sale, and ends on (and includes) the settlement date when you buy back or transfer in the borrowed shares.
Interest is calculated and frozen on a calendar day basis, deducted from your account at the end of each month. If you have outstanding debt after the monthly deduction, the new debt amount will be added to your margin amount for the following month.

2.4 Other

If a shorted stock is suspended from trading or delisted for liquidation, you may not be able to close your short positions for an extended period. You must continue to pay short selling interest until the stock is delisted and liquidated, or until trading resumes and your positions are closed. This process may take a considerable amount of time.
