How to close my account

As per our company policy, if you close your current account, you will not be able to open another new trading account of the same type for the next six months from the date of account closure.

For example, if your individual account was successfully terminated on 1/01/2024, you will only be able to open a new individual account for the same person on or after 1/07/2024. However, you will still be able to open a moomoo entity account between 1/01/2024 and 1/07/2024.

 

To close your Moomoo account, you’ll need to have no securities or cash in it. We cannot close accounts with any funds in them or with any funds owing.

 

Once you have no balances in your account, simply follow these steps:

  1. Click here to download and fill out the Account Termination Application

  2. Use your email address registered with your moomoo trading account, and send this application to support@au.moomoo.com

We will process the account termination request within 1 to 5 business days of receiving your email. To smoothly wrap up the account cancellation, please make sure that the information has been filled out as required.

If you no longer wish to receive marketing messages or phone calls from us, please ensure that the marketing notifications are properly turned off in the App. You may click “Me tab -> Settings -> Notifications -> Text Messages & Emails” to opt-out.
