Shijiyao Group (02005.HK): Net profit increased 14.6% to HK$416 million in the first quarter

Shijiyao Group (02005.HK) announced that the Group's sales are mainly carried out in China and are denominated in RMB. For the three months ending March 31, 2024, the RMB depreciated by about 3.6% against the Hong Kong dollar compared to the same period in 2023. As a result, in Hong Kong dollars, the Group's unaudited turnover for the three months ended 31 March 2024 increased by only 2.9% over the same period in 2023 to approximately HK$1,799 billion (same period in 2023: approximately HK$1,749 million). Unaudited gross profit increased by 2.3% to approximately HK$1,031 million (same period in 2023: approximately HK$1,008 billion). Unaudited gross margin was approximately 57.3%, a slight decrease of 0.3 percentage points from the same period in 2023. Profit attributable to shareholders of unaudited companies increased by approximately 14.6% over the same period in 2023 to approximately HK$416 million (same period in 2023: approximately HK$363 million).
