long term investment offers some differences over short which are arguably lower risk, higher overall gains, and in the US a bteer capital gains tax advantage. the differences however are in the actual stock itself... short term investing (less than one year) is for more volatile type stocks that have high volume and volatility, rather than long term that an investor would wish for lower risk companies that perform upward and more reliable longevity. an investor would want to choose a company that will not only be around for decades, but will increase value over time, rather than lose. those companies typically gain value slower but are subject to lower losses in a higher volatile market. however, as history dictates, nothing is certain.
as this year comes to an end, it is my wish that the following happen in no specific order:
1) a global end to the coronavirus
2) an economic recovery for all businesses hurt by the fallout of the pandemic
3) a healthy market recovery in all countries
4) great human to human relations, with each other and all governments
5) an end to poverty and starvation
6) honest politicians and world leaders
7) peace on earth
As for what I would like to see for moo moo platform in 2022, is a better user platform... moo moo has many great features that no other platform offers to basic users. the problem? ...they are hard to locate on the app and PC. for instance, making a deposit... finding that link is difficult and its location has to be memorized to find again. Also moo moo offers many analytics and comparisons which also need training to realize. in addition, simple buying and selling has difficulties to overcome in several boxes to locate. in all, a reformat of moo moo's user interface would be a great way to to help users with what they're looking for and help moo moo bring more satisfied clients to their platform.
Second... OPTIONS! ...moo moo must have full options trading to compete with the main US brokerages. That's paramount.
