Simply put, chip distribution. It lets you know the “buying price” of investors on the “day” and the “total number of holders/distribution” of “each price”.
Based on looking at the chip distribution over a period of time (such as a month/quarter/half-year/year), you can set a relatively “safe” buying price/point for the stock you are about to buy.
1. Predict future trends
If the current total chip distribution is “low level/low level”, and (i) there are no investors with a high number of shareholds/chip distribution above, then when this stock is in line with the upward trend of good news/performance, the resistance it will encounter will be very small, and the “probability of increase” of this stock will increase greatly. Because no one sells stocks at this time until the investor's profit level is reached (10%/20%/50%/100% or more).
Conversely, if you (ii) find investors with a high number of shareholds/chip distribution above the current buying price, then the upward resistance will be relatively greater. Investors who were previously locked up may sell stocks when the stock price reaches a locked position above (high holding price), creating an invisible pressure.

i. If the current stock price is ¥10, and this price is the low point that investors consider to be low (such as a reference earnings report or P/E or trend line)
ii. However, most of the total chips are hovering around ¥9-¥11, so the price of RMB 10 can probably be considered a good “opening/opening/buying” price.
