Singapore shares opened slightly higher on Monday. The $FTSE Singapore Straits Time Index(.STI.SG)$ rose 0.03 per cent to 3,205.78 as at 9.08 am.
Advancers / Decliners is 72 to 49, with 66.43 million securities worth S$56.56 million changing hands.

4 Industrial S-Reits among best performing in the year to date
While the iEdge S-Reit Index (benchmark for the S-Reits cluster) returned flat in the year to date, the top 10 performing S-Reits within the benchmark averaged 11.1 per cent total returns. Of these, four were Industrial Reits – AIMS Apac Reit (11.2 per cent in total returns), Mapletree Logistics Trust (9.3 per cent), Mapletree Industrial Trust (7.7 per cent), and CapitaLand Ascendas Reit (7.3 per cent). The four Industrial Reits averaged 9 per cent in total returns in the year to date and recorded combined net institutional fund inflows of S$18.9 million. These four Industrial Reits, along with ESR-Logos Reit, were also among the top 10 Reits that recorded institutional net inflows in August.

$FRASERS CENTREPOINT TRUST(J69U.SG)$ : Its trustee has agreed to divest 143.9 million units in Malaysia's Hektar Real Estate Investment Trust (Hektar Reit) for RM128.1 million (S$37.4 million).
$Sheng Siong(OV8.SG)$ : Supermarket company Sheng Siong said on Friday (Sep 22) that it had inked a lease agreement to open a new store in Kunming, China, through its subsidiary Sheng Siong (China) Supermarket Co. The new store will take up a retail space of approximately 83,624 square feet at the Yunnan Aegean Shopping Park. It is expected to be operational before the end of the second quarter of 2024. This brings Sheng Siong's total store count in China to six, following an earlier announcement in January that it would be opening its fifth store in China – also in Kunming. The group has 69 outlets in Singapore.
$LHN(41O.SG)$ : HLA Container Services (HLACS) has received a letter of demand from the lawyer representing logistics provider Pacific GSSA in relation to a final award of arbitration, the group said on Friday (Sep 22). HLACS is a subsidiary of LHN Logistics. In the letter of demand, Pacific GSSA is demanding payment of the awarded amount, costs of the proceedings and disbursement, as well as its share of tribunal fees and expenses amounting to S$993,853.
$Geo Energy Res(RE4.SG)$ : Indonesian coal producer Geo Energy Resources has secured US$220 million in term loan facilities from Bank Mandiri to be used for funding acquisitions, working capital and other capital expenditure requirements. The Singapore-listed firm in a bourse filing on Saturday (Sep 23) said that the term loan carries “a very competitive” interest rate – pegged to Term Secured Overnight Financing Rate (SOFR) plus 3.25 per cent per annum – currently about 8.5 per cent, with a tenor of up to five years.
