$Palantir(PLTR.US)$ why are you being so short sighted? the future is ahead of the company not behind one of the primary problems with palantir in prior years was their top-heavy contracts with the United States government it was very obscure information is not released about it their design research is done in top secret facilities and it is a concentrated revenue base primarily coming from the US government. this past quarter they have proven they are diversifying their customers into the private sector and that will accelerate why because the CEO said it he came out and said it who knows more about the future of the company than the CEO it's not an analyst. you're looking at eighth quarter movements it's like trying to bet which direction a bird is going to take off and fly when you know if winter is coming and they're in New England they're going to wind up in Florida it doesn't matter which way they're taking off they will go to Florida we're warm weather is the climate so with palantir the demand for their business is accelerating their diversifying their customer revenue base it is accelerating therefore that will result in higher sales higher margins higher stock prices.

  • StockPickingPoodle : most ppl in here are traders not investors.. Ive owned pltr since 2020 , stayed through it all.. I watch everyday, no plans to sell ..its a growth company with no debt an high margins .. I can wait 5 years to retire undefined

  • newbie8978 StockPickingPoodle: Some are gamblers

  • 10baggerbammOP newbie8978: let me tell you about trading back in 199 8 late early 99 I traded a thousand shares of Google three times and three times it didn't break out I got stopped out I lost 97 to 94 stopped 98 to 93 stopped out 98 and a half I thought it was going to go that time and break out the 91. had I bought a thousand shares requested a stock certificate framed it stuck it on the wall I'd be worth 30 million dollars. so much for short-term trying to trade with support and resistance and getting stopped looking for a breakout and of course we all know what happened the dot-coms crashed and everything got flushed and 9 out of 10 companies that were.com went bye-bye including Mark Cubans that's how he made all of his money he burnt all of his shareholders. so I have no problem with the little bit of fluctuation that exists within volunteer nowadays algorithmic trading is can send a stock up or down 5% and you're scratching your head what happened. the market is going to grow exponentially for the next 4 to 5 6 years . it's no different than Tom siebel's company c3ai the guy's brilliant civil systems hello he knows how to run a company he knows how to start a company he knows how to compete locally international globally and he's doing it again and people want to complain about the gyrations down $2 up a dollar buy the stock forget about it because they're going to accelerate their earnings their revenue and they're taking market share.

  • StockPickingPoodle newbie8978: oh agree there, most daytraders are gamblers , that's why 98% plus of them lose to the house.. Trading houses made gambling respectible under the guise of investing.. Every few years a new round of fresh cash comes to the table .. The long term ppl took the time to learn the rules .. I feel the less I sell the better I traded. only stocks I've sold are free shares from webul ,moomoo, robinhood to decluter my screen last year.
