Im glad I had Moomoo as my first broker

I joined Moomoo somewhere in August 2023 as I had just turned 18 around that time, honestly I chose it over other brokers cuz of the cashplus promo alongside other promos and mini-events thrown inside.

Compared to Webull and Tiger as well, the UI in Moomoo is aesthetically pleasing, intuitive and doesn't have any weird text clipping or UI bugs.

On the technical side, i was using DBS's default investment service prior to this and they charged like 1% on mutual funds

Needless to say, Moomoo has a vastly superior promotional field and experience, in a way im incentivised to trade/invest, instead of simply "encouraged".

For reference, compared to losing 1% on my mutual funds, heres what Moomoo has given me throughout my time on this platform.

I also wanted to point out (and this is something i emphasized in my review for Moomoo i made as a poly project, i got an A btw), Moomoo's ecosystem of promotions, Learning resourcs, the Learn premium group chat with CiCi and everyone else, all mix together well to build a community that helps people learn and become knowledgeable in investing.

Afterall, its written in the Moomoo website itself.

Now let's get into my main investments, I'm mainly in Fidelity's Global Technology Fund as I do believe tech still has room to grow in the near and far future, other than that I have Allianz's Oriental income fund for exposure in Asia market (Wanted more into JP cuz i like JP). The rest are just random stocks I bought to qualify for promos, eventually I will start to shift my funds into my "Recent Earnings Beat" portfolio strategy (pinned in my profile) cuz it seems to be doing quite well (Earnings Hub carrying hard). I dont do any ETFs cuz im too lazy to convert into USD but just a general disclaimer, actively managed funds rarely outperform $SPDR S&P 500 ETF(SPY.US)$ and $Invesco QQQ Trust(QQQ.US)$. (I used historical data to figure this out myself).

Overall, my investment journey has been fruitful and I've learnt and experienced quite alot, looking forward i'd probably dip into SG reits at some point cuz i have almost 0 exposure into SG (I mean it has been a sideways market for awhile) and as always ill expect new features and tools from Moomoo together with promos they regularly put out.
