Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, Phenomenal Apple, Iron Condor

Welcome back Mooers,

In today discussion, we will talk about whether to YOLO (you only live once) or FOMO (fear of missing out) $Apple(AAPL.US)$ stocks.

Despite the various factors such as high inflation, omicron variant, interest rate hikes, global supply chains turmoil and so on. None of them had really put a phenomenal dent to the US stock market, not even a scratch to our favourite $Apple(AAPL.US)$ stock. This is because, not only there are 7,906 winners in the US stock market, as shown in the picture below, $Apple(AAPL.US)$ had also rise at least 5% over the past 5 days.

$Apple(AAPL.US)$ price for the past 5 trading days:

However, right now in the stock market, there is that FUD (fear, uncertainty and doubt) roaming around like a crouching tiger (or hidden dragon), waiting to pounce at us, and rip us apart, right after $Apple(AAPL.US)$ revenue reached an ATH (all time high) of USD 123.9 billion, ever since NASDAQ had dropped 4.5% on the first week of 2022, if, that can be consider as a bad sign for year 2022.

Hmm... talking about bad sign, this remind me of this post ‘New Year, New Strategy, New Moon’ by one of the most funniest Mooers in $Futu Holdings Ltd(FUTU.US)$ MooMoo: ‘Up Lorry Together’, which mention the following:

Everyone made mistakes, if you really suay buy what lose what, then reverse your strategy. If you want to buy, hit short. If you want to short, hit buy. Maybe if you lose 70% of the time will become win 70% of the time. Not easy to cheat yourself to get the right results, as what you think is right might be wrong. Worst is you might go crazy trying to master this art.

If what ‘Up Lorry Together’ said is true, then all of us should do exactly the opposite of what we are doing and thinking, just like the CEO doing the opposite of what Master Wong had suggested, in the following video.
Maybe Master Wong can give us eight lucky numbers to start the lunar new year 2022, based on the first letter of each word in this post heading, which will be: 3 (‘C’), 20 (‘T’), 8 (‘H’), 4 (‘D’), 16 (‘P’), 1 (‘A’), 9 (‘I’) and 3 (‘C’). Just kidding!

Back to the topic, this means that it may be better to JOMO (joy of missing out) by not buying more $Apple(AAPL.US)$ stock for the time being, as we do not know if $Apple(AAPL.US)$ may drop in the couple of weeks leading to the March 2022 interest rate hike.

Or, probably we can do a FOBO (fear of better options) by trading $Apple(AAPL.US)$ stock options. This way, we avoid committing to anything, and hoping that the perfect scenario will come along to make our decision easier.

Or, maybe we can do a YODO (you only dump once). This means that we dump some or all $Apple(AAPL.US)$ stocks for one time in the year 2022, by exchanging the growth stock with other value stocks, before buying it back in the subsequent months when the market become more CCB (calmness, certainty and boldness).

Or, we might just do the YOLO + FOMO by buying more $Apple(AAPL.US)$ stocks, so that we do not miss out any upcoming bull run in year 2022, if there is really one in the making.

Whichever decisions we are going to make, we must always remember to DYOR (do your own research) and DYODD (do your own due diligence), and who knows, we might see some of our stocks LAMBO (slang for the Lamborghini vehicle, that many traders & investors aspire to buy when their stocks rise in value substantially) with 3223.16% profit in year 2022!

Please vote which strike price for the $Apple(AAPL.US)$ stock options you are trading at.
Iron Condor
For beginners, iron condor is an options strategy that can be use in all weather situation and yet be able to generate a fixed income.
It is the combination of a Bear Call spread and a Bull Put spread. This means that there are four options involved. The four options have the same expiry date and same underlying stock. However, all the four options will have different strike price.

That’s all for today, and thank you for your support and likes.

This is the 14th article for my MooMoo goal in 2022.
