Red__Bull : 3% is way too low. FDIC insured short and long term CD's are paying in the upper 3% range. Tips on ultra high yield stocks with massive dividend and very stable NAV. Three that I own:
XOMAP: Preferred stock of XOMA Corp. Which invests in a broad spectrum of pharmaceutical companies. Much less risk than individual pharma stocks because if one of XOMA's investments doesn't get FDA approval, or is sued it doesn't burn down the whole house. XOMAP Preferred yields 8.9% and it's NAV has only fluctuated between $24 to $26 over 5 years.
Global Partners (GLP and GLP.B preferred). This is a family-owned partnership in the midstream fuel industry, well diversified. They own or operate 1,700 retail gas stations in the Northeast US, 54 commercial bulk oil and fuel terminals with 22 million barrels capacity. That diversification gives it a lot of immunity from traditional oil and gas stocks. It's a growth stock and 6.4 to 6.7% forward yield. For more stability in price and higher yield GLP-B preferred doesn't stray much from $25/share over 5 years and pays an 11.95% yield.
Blue Owl Capital -OBDC
Private equity firm. The price/share hasn't been as stable over the past year compared to previous 5 years. 52 week high $15.35, currently about $11/share. That's a 1 year anomaly, as the previous 5 years range was between $13 and $15. Unfortunately for me, I bought most of my lots in that upper range. However, with a 13.75% yield, I've far exceeded my paper loss with the income it generated. I'm being cautious, might sell some at a loss after the March 31 ex date, wait out the 30 day rule, and repurchase at the lower price before the next quarterly dividend.

NathanRobert OP Red__Bull : hey nice man thank you for that!! i think these are stocks that give you a 3%+ dividend, but also give you 4% stock price appreciation as well so you grt 7% or more of your money back a year with these high yielders that dont lack in growth
