China Financial International (00721) announced that the board has proposed to implement a share consolidation on the basis of consolidating every 5 existing shares into 1 consolidated share, whether issued or unissued. As of the date of this announcement, there are 10.972 billion fully paid or credited as fully paid existing issued shares. Assuming no further issuance of shares from the date of this announcement until the date of the extraordinary general meeting of shareholders, there will be 2.194 billion fully paid or credited as fully paid consolidated issued shares after the share consolidation takes effect. The company's authorized capital will remain at HKD 300 million, but it will be divided into 6 billion consolidated shares with a par value of HKD 0.05 per share.
