Gronghui 28 December 00197.HK noticeOn 28 December 2021, the Company and Peiran Environmental Consultants Limited ("Peiran", together with its subsidiaries, collectively referred to as the "Peiran Group") entered into a non-legally binding memorandum of understanding on possible environmental matters such as carbon neutralization and green finance, under which the Company and Peiran agreed to cooperate in a mutually supportive relationship and to make use of their respective resources to bring strong synergy to their businesses.According to the memorandum, the main terms of cooperation are as follows:
1. The Group will work with Peiran Group to integrate sustainable low-carbon measures into its operations so as to promote and achieve carbon neutrality. The objectives of the Group and the Peran Group are to help suppliers, customers, business partners and other stakeholders adopt sustainable measures, promote environmental, social and governance, nature-based solutions, green finance and responsible investment.
two。 The objective of the partnership arrangement is to provide (I) green technology promotion and complementary green finance and responsible investment advice and (ii) comprehensive, technical and sustainable carbon neutral nature-based solutions to our respective potential customers.
3. In order to better achieve the above objectives, the Group and Peiran Group will combine blockchain technology with the application of nature-based solutions, because we believe that blockchain technology is a necessary element for establishing high-quality carbon credits in a carbon trading market. on the other hand, nature-based solutions are a comprehensive and sustainable way to deal with climate change and develop carbon offset mechanisms.
4. Peiran Group will make reference to the working Group on Climate-related Financial Information Disclosure and the working Group on Nature-related Financial Information Disclosure to assist the Group in developing its framework to enhance climate risk disclosure and address climate change. In addition, the Peiran Group will assist the Group in improving its environmental, social and governance performance, reducing carbon emissions, drawing up a carbon neutralization blueprint and formulating strategies to take advantage of new business opportunities arising from climate change adaptation.
5. In this cooperation, the Group and Peiran Group are committed to providing sustainable development and carbon neutralization consulting services, and propose practical solutions to reduce operating carbon emissions for all types of customers.
6. The Group and the Peiran Group look forward to promoting the business generated by the MOU through regular webinars, training courses and industry activities to promote knowledge sharing on carbon reduction and enhance the sustainable development awareness of the target customers.
