CEC International (00759.HK) announced on December 23 that for the six months ended October 31, 2021, the company's income was HK $972 million, down 10.3% from the same period last year; the profit attributable to the company's owners was HK $18.8 million, up 25.4% from the same period last year; and earnings per share were HK2.82 cents.
The Group has adjusted its commodity mix in response to changes in demand in the local retail market. The proportion of snacks and snacks has increased and replaced some shares of grain, oil and non-staple foods with low gross profit margin. And the performance of the manufacturing business improved significantly during the period, so the profit attributable to equity holders increased by 25.4% compared with the same period last year.
