Gelonghui November 18, Century Entertainment International (00959.HK) announcementBased on a preliminary assessment of the Group's unaudited consolidated management accounts for the six months ended 30 September 2021 ("interim results 2021"), the Group expects to record a loss of approximately HK $20.8 million compared with a loss of approximately HK $6.2 million for the same period in 2020.
The increase in loss for the six months ended 30 September 2021 is mainly due to (a) the delay in the reopening of new Dara Sakor casinos due to the spread of the COVID-19 epidemic in the Cambodian community, resulting in no revenue from the gaming table business during the reporting period; and (b) the recognition of fair value gains of approximately HK $11 million in acceptance notes for the six months ended 30 September 2020.
