October 16 news, the parts shortage has affected the revenue expectations of the entire technology industry, even Apple Inc has not been spared. However, shareholders responded by buying more Apple Inc shares.

Apple Inc's shares rose 0.5 per cent on Friday local time and are poised for their best week in six weeks, although the company is expected to deliver millions fewer iPhone 13 this year than planned due to supplier restrictions. Some people familiar with the matter even said that the total shortfall could be as high as 10 million.

The lukewarm reaction of investors to these reports suggests that many have anticipated supply chain problems and are convinced that demand has not disappeared, but has just been delayed. Morgan Stanley analyst Katie Huberty (Katy Huberty) actually encourages investors to buy Apple Inc shares.

Mr. Huberty said Apple Inc's size and importance to suppliers meant that supply shortages would hit its competitors harder. "if even Apple Inc fails to meet recent demand, the gap for its competitors may be larger, creating opportunities for Apple Inc's market share growth," she wrote in a research report. "

The rebound in Apple Inc's share price could also be a sign that shares in the company and other technology giants are finding new anchors after a massive sell-off triggered by soaring US Treasury yields. Apple Inc's share price has risen for two weeks after falling more than 10 per cent from its September peak.

Apple Inc shares are up more than 3 per cent from their three-month low on October 4th. Shares of Microsoft Corp, Amazon.Com Inc and Alphabet also rebounded, rising for two weeks in a row. Of the five largest technology companies in the United States, only Facebook Inc's share price continues to fall.

Iulian Jurrien Timmer, global macro director at Fidelity Investments, said shares of companies such as Apple Inc and Alphabet were particularly attractive because their valuations were more reasonable than revenue growth expectations.

"I think the growth potential of these companies is still underestimated," Timmer said in an interview. "they generate a lot of revenue, have a lot of free cash flow, and remain the same all the time."

Apple Inc is trading at 26 times expected earnings over the next 12 months, down from 28 times in early September and below the Nasdaq average of 28 times. Apple Inc will report fourth-quarter results on October 28, with profits expected to exceed $20 billion, up 60 per cent from the same period last year.

Apple Inc is expected to announce the first redesign update of his MacBook Pro laptop in five years on the 18th local time. The new laptop will be the first high-end MacBook Pro to use Apple Inc's independently designed processors to replace Intel Corp's chips.

Daniel Ives (Daniel Ives), an analyst at Wade Bush Securities, said Apple Inc's release of new products shows that the company is confident that they will be delivered to customers before the holiday shopping season. (small)
