The exhibition brought together more than 6,800 technology companies from over 180 countries, showcasing breakthroughs and commercial achievements in the field of artificial intelligence. At this event, hailed as a "barometer of global digital economic development," approximately 300 Chinese tech companies, including Huawei, Tencent Cloud, China Mobile, iFLYTEK, and AIGC software A-share listed company Wondershare Technology (300624.SZ), attracted significant attention for their innovative accomplishments in areas such as artificial intelligence, cloud services, and digital creativity, highlighting China's rapid rise in the global technology sector.
This year's GITEX GLOBAL focused on topics such as the development of AI infrastructure, global innovation acceleration, and AI-driven sustainable economic growth, reflecting the Middle East's determination to accelerate its transition to an AI-native society. During the exhibition, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman and G42 Group CEO Peng Xiao engaged in an in-depth dialogue on "From AI Applications to an AI-Native Society." In the discussion, Sam Altman pointed out that the cost of artificial intelligence will converge with energy costs, which could give the energy-rich Middle East a unique advantage in the AI era. Meanwhile, Du, a telecommunications operator in the UAE, announced the launch of the AI Park project during the exhibition, planning to build a data center with a total capacity of 1 gigawatt to provide infrastructure support for sovereign AI applications, further strengthening the Middle East’s strategic layout in the AI field.

In the wave of AI development sweeping the Middle East, Chinese enterprises are becoming a vital force driving regional digital transformation. According to the "Report on the Development of Chinese Enterprises in the UAE (2023–2024)" released by the Chinese Business Council in the UAE, more than 6,000 Chinese companies have established offices or branches in the UAE. Their business scope has expanded from traditional sectors such as energy, ports, and building materials to emerging fields like finance, information technology, new energy, and e-commerce, showcasing remarkable adaptability and innovative vitality.
At this year’s GITEX exhibition, Chinese technology companies stood out with their participation covering multiple cutting-edge fields, including AI infrastructure, digital creative software, and intelligent solutions. Huawei, as the platinum sponsor of the exhibition, highlighted its 5G-A innovative applications developed in collaboration with local operators, along with its latest achievements in AI-driven networks, cloud technology, data storage, and cybersecurity.
