The US stock market rose. The Dow average rose by $66.22 to $39,872.99, and the Nasdaq closed at 16,832.63, which rose 37.75 points.

Since senior Federal Reserve (Fed) officials repeated the attitude of leaving policy interest rates unchanged for the time being, they fell after being close. At the same time, the market price began to rise due to the view that there was little possibility of interest rate hikes and purchases that favored retail settlement. High-tech was supported by a decline in long-term interest rates, and was bought by expectations for semiconductor NVDA (NVDA) settlement, and the market price increase widened towards the end of the market, and the NASDAQ ended at a record high. By sector, while automobiles and auto parts rose, transportation declined.

The department store Macy's (M) saw a decrease in sales and profit compared to the same period last year due to financial results for the first quarter, but sales and profit per share were raised and rose according to the full-year forecast. The semiconductor NVIDIA (NVDA) was reported to have temporarily declined and then rose after the cloud service division AWS of discount retail Amazon (AMZN) stopped ordering “Grace Hopper” chips and transitioned to the successor “Grace Blackwell.” Pharmaceutical company Eli Lilly (LLY) had good final clinical trial results for Crohn's disease treatment drugs, and the announcement that they agreed to develop radiation therapy targeting tumors in partnership with an emerging radiopharmaceutical company, Atkis Oncology, was well received and rose.

Computer manufacturer HP (HPQ) and casual clothing gap (GPS) rose, respectively, due to analysts' increased investment decisions. Semiconductor processing equipment manufacturer Lamb Research (LRCX) announced plans to buy shares and split 1 share into 10 shares, assuming that AI (artificial intelligence) PCs will drive chip sales, and it was bought. Palo Alto Networks (PANW), a provider of network security solutions, was drastically reduced due to disappointment with the sluggish outlook in quarterly financial results. Sales for the first quarter of Lowe's (LOW), which operates a home center, exceeded expectations, but in addition to concerns about profit margins due to promotions, etc., the outlook was weak, and sales were weak.

Urban Outfitters (URBN), a retailer that handles casual clothing and accessories, etc., announced financial results after the transaction ended. The content exceeded expectations, and it was bought in overtime trading.
