Insiders At Tenable Holdings Sold US$2.4m In Stock, Alluding To Potential Weakness

Simply Wall St ·  May 8 09:55

Tenable Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ:TENB) shareholders may have reason to be concerned, as several insiders sold their shares over the past year. Knowing whether insiders are buying is usually more helpful when evaluating insider transactions, as insider selling can have various explanations. However, when multiple insiders sell stock over a specific duration, shareholders should take notice as that could possibly be a red flag.

While we would never suggest that investors should base their decisions solely on what the directors of a company have been doing, we would consider it foolish to ignore insider transactions altogether.

Tenable Holdings Insider Transactions Over The Last Year

In the last twelve months, the biggest single sale by an insider was when the Chairman, Amit Yoran, sold US$418k worth of shares at a price of US$47.72 per share. That means that an insider was selling shares at around the current price of US$45.64. We generally don't like to see insider selling, but the lower the sale price, the more it concerns us. Given that the sale took place at around current prices, it makes us a little cautious but is hardly a major concern.
