Johor Bahru, Malaysia, April 30, 2024/PRNewswire/ -- On April 18, 2024, Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar and his entourage visited Forest City. They were accompanied by Malaysian Defense Minister Kalinoddin, Malaysian Minister of International Trade and Industry Tunku Zafru, Malaysian Economy Minister Mohamad, and Johor State Secretary Onhafiz.


Malaysian Prime Minister Dato' Seri Anwar Bin Ibrahim visited Forest City

The Forest City project in Johor, Malaysia has recently attracted widespread attention. The project will host the ASEAN Tourism Forum from January 19 to 25, 2025. The news was confirmed by Zhang Qingxin, Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture.

Transport Minister Lu Zhaofu mentioned in an interview that if the new Longxin high-speed rail project is to resume, the route will need to be re-evaluated. He emphasized the importance of including the Forest City Special Financial Zone and the Rouxin Special Economic Zone in the planning process to ensure sustainable development and create synergy with the area of the regional growth strategy.

Johor State Minister Onhafiz revealed that the Rouxin Special Economic Zone will be closely linked to the Forest City Financial Special Zone. The decision is expected to bring more investment opportunities, job creation and development projects to Johor, benefiting residents and businesses.


Johor Chief Minister Onn Hafiz visited Forest City

Based on the proposal of Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry Tunku Zafru, it has been decided to establish the Malaysian Iskandar Promotion Center in Forest City. The center will further promote commercial activities in Forest City and attract more investment to Johor.

These federal and state government initiatives underscore their commitment to the development of the Forest City Project. This joint effort not only strengthened investors' confidence in Forest City as a strategic business center, but also made Johor the focus of international investment.
