The US stock market is mixed. The Dow average rose by 211.02 dollars to 37,986.40 dollars, and the NASDAQ closed at 15,282.01, which fell 319.49 points.

Sales that were wary of the further tense situation in the Middle East, such as Iran arguing that Israel's retaliation attack against Iran was limited on a limited scale, retreated, and then rose after being close. In addition to continuing buybacks due to a sense of security, Dow remained steady throughout the day with purchases in response to expectations for major corporate financial results. Meanwhile, purchases, which were expected to cut interest rates due to high technology, retreated, and the NASDAQ fell drastically due to the decline in Netflix (NFLX) stocks for video distribution. It ended in a mixed situation. By sector, while insurance and banking rose, semiconductors and manufacturing equipment declined.

The media Paramount Global (PARA) rose after receiving reports that the Japanese electronic product manufacturer Sony Group is in negotiations with the investment company Apollo Global on a joint acquisition proposal with the company. Earnings per share of the regional bank Fifth Third Bancorp (FITB) exceeded expectations after adjustments in the first quarter financial results, and the strong outlook was well received and bought. Also, the credit card company American Express (AXP)'s profit per share exceeded expectations in quarterly financial results, and rose.

Netflix (NFLX), the video distribution company, had first-quarter financial results, and although sales and profits exceeded expectations, the sluggish outlook was disgusted, and plans to stop announcing the number of paid members per quarter and sales per member from next year led to a sense of disappointment, and it was sold. Since the server solution company Super Micro Computer (SMCI) did not announce provisional financial results for the 3rd quarter, they were wary of the results and fell. Virgin Galactech (SPCE), which does the space travel business, fell due to a stock merger plan being warned.

President Goolsby of the Chicago Federal Reserve pointed out the stalled progress of inflation in his speech manuscript, and expressed the idea that a further period of time is necessary before interest rates are cut.
