According to the Zhitong Finance App, Xinte Energy (01799) announced its 2023 results. Revenue was RMB 30.752 billion, down 16.51% from the same period last year. Net profit attributable to shareholders of listed companies was RMB 4.345 billion, down 67.37% from the same period last year. Basic earnings per share were RMB 3.04.

During the reporting period, the first phase of the 100,000 ton project of the Group's Zhundong 200,000 ton polysilicon project was in the process of achieving quality production. At the same time, production capacity was not fully exploited due to running-out of cold and hydrogenation systems and process re-optimization. The production capacity was not fully utilized. The annual polysilicon output was 191,300 tons, and sales volume was 202,900 tons, up 52.01% and 90.16%, respectively, from the same period last year. Despite a sharp increase in the Group's polysilicon sales volume, the polysilicon sector achieved operating revenue of RMB 19.518 billion and gross profit of RMB 7.06 billion, down 23.95% and 61.22%, respectively, from the same period last year.

The wind energy and photovoltaic power plant construction sector achieved revenue of RMB 6.268 billion, a decrease of 18.47% over the same period last year, mainly due to increased competition in the NEV development and construction market during the reporting period, the scale of the group's wind energy and photovoltaic power plant construction business declined slightly, and the number of owners' pure construction tenders and equipment designated procurement models increased, and the revenue per watt of power plant construction decreased.

The wind energy and photovoltaic power plant operating sector achieved revenue of RMB 2,213 billion, an increase of 66.57% over the same period of the previous year, mainly due to electricity price subsidy verification in the same period last year, the group reduced revenue from electricity price subsidies that had already been determined in the previous year but is expected to be unrecoverable, and the scale of the Group's wind energy and photovoltaic power plant operation projects increased during the reporting period, and the corresponding increase in power generation capacity.
