According to the Zhitong Finance App, Honghai Hi-Tech Resources (00065) announced its annual results for the year ended December 31, 2023. The group obtained revenue of HK$188 million, a year-on-year decrease of 1.68%; losses due to the company's owners were HK$237.34 million, compared with a profit of HK$10.237 million for the same period last year; and a loss of HK1.46 cents per share.
Losses for the year ended 31 December 2023 were mainly due to confirmation that the indirect non-wholly-owned subsidiary of the company concerned entered into a settlement agreement of approximately HK$22.188 million; increased depreciation expenses due to additional mining equipment for the year ended 31 December 2023; and no depreciation losses on property, plant and equipment or intangible assets were recovered for the year ended 31 December 2023.
