Gelonghui, March 21, 丨 China's Ruyi (00136.HK) announced that the company expects the Group to record unaudited net profit of about RMB 1.1 to 1.2 billion after tax for the year ended December 31, 2023. Compared with the same period last year, such businesses recorded net profit after tax of about RMB 180 million.
The Group expects unaudited revenue for fiscal year 2023 to reach approximately RMB 3.45 billion to RMB 4 billion, a significant increase of approximately 161.4% to 203.0% from approximately RMB 1.32 billion in the same period in 2022; adjusted profit of approximately RMB 9.3 to 1.08 billion yuan, an increase of approximately 257.7% to 315.4% from approximately RMB 260 million in the same period of 2022.
The increase in revenue recorded in fiscal year 2023 and net profit after tax in film and TV drama production, online streaming media and game business was mainly due to: (1) with the recovery after the novel coronavirus pandemic, the films and TV series produced by the Group received a good market response and increased revenue from the film and TV drama production business; and (2) the Group's game business developed rapidly compared to last year, driving the continued growth of the business.
The Board of Directors anticipates that the Group may record a comprehensive net profit of approximately RMB 650 to 800 million after tax in accordance with the Hong Kong Financial Reporting Standards for the fiscal year ending 2023, similar to the same period last year (approximately RMB 790 million).
