Gelonghui, March 15 | Guangdong Transport (03399.HK) announced that the Group's revenue for 2023 was approximately RMB 7.227 billion, an increase of 24% over 2022 revenue. Net profit attributable to shareholders of the parent company in 2023 was approximately RMB 202 million (2022: net loss attributable to shareholders of the parent company was approximately RMB 150 million). Basic earnings per share and diluted earnings per share for 2023 were both RMB 0.25 (2022: basic loss per share and loss per diluted share were RMB 0.19), increasing profit of RMB 0.44 per share over the previous year.

In 2023, China's economy as a whole entered the recovery stage. The Group seized the window of opportunity and used a new round of state-owned enterprise reform and deepening and upgrading actions as an opportunity to promote the orderly exit of passenger transport business and highway service area business reform around the top priority of high-quality development, optimize the capital structure, break through industrial bottlenecks, and begin the Group's “first year of reform and development”. Through implementing the five major aggressive actions of “service area business reform, digital Guangdong transportation construction, passenger transport business loss reduction, asset disposal debt, and enterprise policy reform”, losses were turned into profits in 2023, and corporate fundamentals improved markedly.

In accordance with the “14th Five-Year Plan” development strategy, the Group actively responds to changing market trends, strengthens cooperation through deepening reforms, enhances management efficiency and service levels, makes every effort to improve the quality and efficiency of various businesses, deepen the reform of the highway travel service business, realize the conversion of old and new kinetic energy, and promote the development of various businesses such as energy, investment, retail, and advertising.
