According to the Zhitong Finance App, TOM Group (02383) announced its annual results for the year ended December 31, 2023. The group achieved comprehensive revenue of HK$784 million during the period, a decrease of 5.5% over the previous year; loss attributable to equity holders was HK$221 million; profit attributable to shareholders was HK$142 million, a year-on-year profit of HK$142 million; and a basic loss of HK$559 per share.
According to the announcement, the decline in comprehensive revenue was mainly due to adverse exchange effects on the foreign exchange rate against the Hong Kong dollar during the year, and the Group continued to be affected by geopolitical tension and the uncertain global economic outlook due to rising loan interest rates.
