Reader Culture (301025.SZ): Expected net loss of 2.5 million yuan to 3.75 million yuan in 2023

Gelonghui Finance ·  Jan 30 03:02

On January 30, Gelonghui | Reader Culture (301025.SZ) announced that it expects a net loss of 2.5 million yuan to 3.75 million yuan in 2023, after deducting a non-net loss of 10 million yuan to 13.75 million yuan.

During the reporting period, demand in the book market fluctuated, and downstream sales channels underwent structural changes. On the one hand, due to the company's channel transformation being relatively conservative, the sales situation fell short of expectations. On the other hand, as the company continued to increase investment in talent development, organizational capacity improvement, and copyright procurement at the beginning of the period, it led to an increase in costs and expenses, as well as a short-term increase in impairment losses. At the same time, due to the impact of the torrential rain disaster in the north, some of the books kept by the company's original logistics and warehousing supplier, Xunjie Anda International Transportation (Beijing) Co., Ltd., were unable to circulate, and the overall inventory age was passively rising. As a result, inventory fell and prepared to increase. Other books were damaged by soaking in water, causing loss of inventory. The above reasons combined led to losses during the reporting period. In order to ensure a return to growth in performance, the company stepped up efforts to adjust sales channels and focus on high-quality copyright. In 2023, it signed new contracts for some works by famous writers such as Yu Hua, Haruki Murakami, and David Wisner; combining 5S with daily work, optimizing the organizational structure, and reducing the budget appropriately. During the reporting period, the estimated impact of the company's non-recurring profit and loss on net profit is about 7.5 million yuan to 10 million yuan.
