The Zhitong Finance App learned that aviation stocks continued to decline. As of press release, Meilan Airport (00357) fell 3.02% to HK$6.1; Air China (00753) fell 2.17% to HK$4.95; China Southern Airlines (01055) fell 1.99% to HK$3.44; and Eastern Airlines (00670) fell 1.56% to HK$2.52.

According to news, in September 2023, the average number of daily flights performed by domestic routes within China was about 1,8827, down 9.5% from the previous month; according to Ctrip statistics, the average one-way ticket price in September 2023 was 904 yuan, down 14.7% from the previous month and 8.8% over the same period in 2022. Among them, the average domestic ticket price was 870 yuan, down 15.4% from the previous month and up 12.1% from the previous year; the average international and regional ticket price was 2,080 yuan, down 5.5% from the previous month and 74% from the previous year.

Dongxing Securities pointed out that the listed airlines released operating data for September, which showed a significant weakening compared to August. On the one hand, the industry's off-season combined with 11-day long vacations caused demand for travel in September to be squeezed. On the other hand, international oil prices are high, and fuel surcharges are currently at a high level, which has had a certain impact on the release of demand.
