Zhitong Financial APP News, Wing Fung Group Holdings (01549) issued an announcement that the group expects the profit attributable to equity holders of the company to fall by about HK $16 million (a decrease of about HK $16 million) for the year ended June 30th (reporting period) compared with the profit attributable to equity holders of the company in the same period in 2022.

The board of directors is of the view that the expected decrease in the profit attributable to the company's equity holders during the reporting period is mainly due to the expected decrease of about 38% in the group regional ship service compared with the same period last year; the group carrier's own box service revenue is expected to decrease by about 52%. And the group's revenue from sea freight forwarding services is expected to decrease by about 54%, due to reduced customer demand for group services as a result of the global economic slowdown and increased competition in the waterway trade and freight industry in mainland China.
