Nestor and Tactile Mobility's road detection and early visual early warning software applies the traditional steering feel to a new field, enabling the vehicle itself to "perceive" the road by converting road information into data collected, interpreted and assigned to road scenarios by the vehicle, all in real time.
The software combines two algorithms: steering-based analysis algorithm and data-driven machine learning algorithm. The resulting "virtual sensor" data is transmitted to the cloud service, which communicates the imminent danger to the rear following vehicle.
