12:30 AM EDT, 09/09/2022 (MT Newswires) -- China Longyuan Power (HKG:0916, SHE:001289) produced about 5 million megawatt-hours of power in August, 27.41% higher than the year-ago period, according to a Thursday stock disclosure.
Wind power generation rose 41.62% during the month while power produced from other renewable energy sources jumped 78.78% yearly. Coal power generation fell 12% during the period.
For the year through August, power generation rose 10.65% to 46.3 million megawatt-hours on an 11.86% increase in wind power generation.
Shares jumped nearly 3% in Hong Kong trading Friday midday.
