HONG KONG stocks jumped at the start of business Friday (Jul 8) morning following a strong performance in New York and Europe, fuelled by easing concerns about a recession.
The $Hang Seng Index(800000.HK)$ climbed 1.47 per cent, or 318.17 points, to 21,961.75.
The Shanghai Composite Index added 0.47 per cent, or 15.97 points, to 3,380.37, while the Shenzhen Composite Index on China's second exchange gained 0.40 per cent, or 8.88 points, to 2,236.54.
