The Compliance Officer & Executive Director of TradeGo FinTech Limited (HKG:8017), Yong Wan, Just Bought A Few More Shares

Even if it's not a huge purchase, we think it was good to see that Yong Wan, the Compliance Officer & Executive Director of TradeGo FinTech Limited (HKG:8017) recently shelled out HK$142k to buy stock, at HK$0.89 per share. Although the purchase is not a big one, by either a percentage standpoint or absolute value, it can be seen as a good sign.

TradeGo FinTech Insider Transactions Over The Last Year

Notably, that recent purchase by Yong Wan is the biggest insider purchase of TradeGo FinTech shares that we've seen in the last year. That means that an insider was happy to buy shares at around the current price of HK$0.94. Of course they may have changed their mind. But this suggests they are optimistic. We do always like to see insider buying, but it is worth noting if those purchases were made at well below today's share price, as the discount to value may have narrowed with the rising price. Happily, the TradeGo FinTech insiders decided to buy shares at close to current prices.

Usually, the higher the insider ownership, the more likely it is that insiders will be incentivised to build the company for the long term. TradeGo FinTech insiders own about HK$145m worth of shares. That equates to 26% of the company. This level of insider ownership is good but just short of being particularly stand-out. It certainly does suggest a reasonable degree of alignment.
