Fisco Japan ·  May 13 03:24

The number of gains and falls of the Nikkei Average constituent stocks at the time of the big closing on the 13th was 87 stocks with price increases and 136 stocks with price drops unchanged.

The US stock market was mixed on the 10th. The Dow average closed at 39512.84 dollars which was 125.08 dollars higher (+ 0.32%), the NASDAQ was 5.39 points lower (-0.03%) at 16340.87, and the S&P 500 closed at 5222.68, which was 8.60 points higher (+ 0.16%). It rose after being close to purchases in response to expectations of a soft landing. Since the May Michigan Consumer Confidence Index, which was announced later, deteriorated drastically and reached a low level since November last year, the market price stalled due to concerns about economic deceleration. In addition to the expected inflation rate of the same index rising unexpectedly, it received hawkish statements denying interest rate cuts by the end of the year from senior US Federal Reserve (Fed) officials, and the rise in long-term interest rates weighed on, and high-tech began to decline. The Dow expanded its gains again towards the end of the game, but the NASDAQ was unable to recover the positive zone and ended with mixed results. Since US stocks were high and low, the Tokyo market at the beginning of the week also began trading with small movements. There was also a scene where they switched back and forth due to a push purchase coming in from the 38,000 yen split, but the purchase did not continue. Since trading centered on stocks announcing financial results continued, the index lacked a sense of direction, and the Nikkei Average was at the 38200 yen level where the lower cloud limit of the daily Ichimoku equilibrium table is located.

The closing Nikkei average was 38179.46 yen, down 49.65 yen (-0.13%) from the previous business day. The trading volume on the Tokyo Stock Exchange Prime Market is 1,974.74 million shares, and the trading price is 4,609.3 billion yen. By industry, while real estate, construction, fisheries/agriculture and forestry, metal products, transportation equipment, etc. declined, textile products, other products, precision equipment, air transportation, glass/earth and stone products, etc. rose. Stocks that have risen in price on the Tokyo Stock Exchange Prime Market are 48%, while stocks that have dropped in price are 48%.

The top contributor to price drops was East Elec <8035>, and the same 2nd place was SECOM <9735>, which pushed down the Nikkei Average by about 62 yen with 2 stocks. Also, the top decline rate of the Nikkei Average constituent stocks was 8.90% lower at Shimizu Corporation <1803>, and Taisei Corporation (1801) was 8.12% lower in the same 2nd place.

Meanwhile, the top contributor to price increases was KDDI (9433), and Olympus (7733) ranked second, boosting the Nikkei Average by about 60 yen with 2 stocks. Also, the top rate of increase for the Nikkei average constituent stocks was 9.65% higher at Olympus, and Toray <3402> was 8.67% higher in the same 2nd place.
