Simply Wall St ·  May 9 07:34

We wouldn't blame DuPont de Nemours, Inc. (NYSE:DD) shareholders if they were a little worried about the fact that Leland Weaver, the President of DuPont Water & Protection recently netted about US$1.5m selling shares at an average price of US$78.40. That sale reduced their total holding by 42% which is hardly insignificant, but far from the worst we've seen.

In fact, the recent sale by Leland Weaver was the biggest sale of DuPont de Nemours shares made by an insider individual in the last twelve months, according to our records. That means that an insider was selling shares at around the current price of US$78.20. While we don't usually like to see insider selling, it's more concerning if the sales take place at a lower price. We note that this sale took place at around the current price, so it isn't a major concern, though it's hardly a good sign.
