澳大利亚封锁措施无碍房价继续上涨

Australian blockade measures do not prevent house prices from continuing to rise

新浪財經 ·  Aug 31, 2021 23:05

Despite blockades in Sydney and Melbourne, Australia's two largest cities, house prices rose 1.5 per cent in August, although the pace of growth continued to decline steadily from a peak of 2.8 per cent in March. Australian house prices have risen 15.8% this year, 18.4% higher than 12 months ago, while the average annual salary has risen only 1.7%, according to data released Wednesday by CoreLogic Inc. "House prices have risen by nearly 11 times the increase in wages over the past year, posing a significantly higher threshold for those who do not yet own a house," said Tim Lawless, director of research at CoreLogic.
