前場に注目すべき3つのポイント~トヨタの決算に注目~

3 points to pay attention to in the front field ~ Pay attention to Toyota's financial results ~

Fisco Japan ·  May 7 19:55

I would like to pay attention to the following 3 points in the 8-day advance transaction.

■Pay attention to Toyota's financial results

■Nintendo's 24/3 operating profit up 4.9% to 528.9 billion yen, 25/3 forecast down 24.4% to 400 billion yen

■Notable materials at the front desk: Toyo Kanetsu and Taisei Corporation supply transport robots, raw materials and workpieces to the factory ceiling space

■Pay attention to Toyota's financial results

The Japanese stock market on the 8th is likely to have such a strong sense of market development. In the US market on the 7th, the NY Dow was 31 dollars higher and the NASDAQ was 16 points lower. Purchases from expectations of interest rate cuts in the latter half of the year by the US Federal Reserve (Fed) continued, and remained steady due to a decline in long-term US interest rates and expectations for corporate settlement. However, since President Kashkari of the Minneapolis Federal Reserve mentioned the possibility that policy interest rates were not sufficiently suppressing the economy in controlling inflation, and showed an attitude of not ruling out interest rate hikes, concerns about interest rate hikes were rekindled and became a burden on the market. Chicago Nikkei 225 futures are 38715 yen, 165 yen lower than Osaka. The yen exchange rate is hovering at 154 yen 70 yen per dollar.

It seems that sales will start slightly ahead of schedule in the form of falling in favor of Chicago futures. Nikkei 225 futures were bought up to 38910 yen at one point, but the upper price was heavy, and the trend continued in the negative zone thereafter. It's a transition across the 25th line, and it's probably a place where strong and weak feelings tend to clash on the same line. Yesterday's Nikkei Average broke through the 25th line with an increase of nearly 600 yen, but at the same level, it is easy to get into profit. Also, since financial results of major companies reach their peak, it is easy for individual searches using financial results as clues to take center stage.

Settlements for Yusen <9101>, ITOCHU <8001>, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries <7011>, and Toyota <7203> are scheduled at Zara today. In particular, it seems that investors are interested in Toyota's financial results due to the depreciation trend of the yen, and it seems that they will be aware of the spread to group companies and export-related matters. In the US market on the 7th, a corner of semiconductor stocks such as NVIDIA was being pushed to profit, and there were times when it was difficult to handle high-tech stocks, so it seems that they will move towards Toyota's financial results expectations even more.

While the Nikkei Average is expected to attack and defend on the 25th line, in a phase where the weight of the upper price on the same line is conscious, it is likely that short-term sales gimmicks led by futures will occur. However, the movement to actively tilt positions amidst peak financial results is limited, so the stance is to wait and see. Additionally, when financial results were announced last night, trends around Yamazaki <6147>, Hidehide <4678>, Hirose Den<6806>, Prima Ham <2281>, Hosomicron <6277>, Takamatsu G <1762>, MTI <9438>, Yokogawa Electric <6841>, OKI <6703>, Harmonic <6324>, and Maruha Nichiro <1333> are attracting attention.

■Nintendo's 24/3 operating profit up 4.9% to 528.9 billion yen, 25/3 forecast down 24.4% to 400 billion yen

The financial results for the fiscal year ending 2024/3 announced by Nintendo <7974> were sales of 1.671,865 billion yen, up 4.4% from the previous fiscal year, and operating profit of 528.941 billion yen, up 4.9% from the same period. As for the financial results for the fiscal year ending 2025/3, we plan that sales will decrease 19.3% from the previous fiscal year to 1.35 trillion yen, and operating profit will decrease 24.4% to 400 billion yen. Sales related to the main engine “Nintendo Switch,” which has reached its 8th year of sale, will slow down. It falls below consensus (about 490 billion yen).
