$Torm(TRMD.US$ i agree with most of what Bullrider has said, except this long hauling around bothe the southern horns of Africa, AND South America ( because of the severe drought there, the Panema Canal is drying up to dangerously low levels, and now has a que of over 100 ships moored just off the canal waiting to be called in to go through. That number is usually around 10). The drought is so severe. however, that the usual set of lakes, rivers and streams that they draw from was reported ly is so severely compromised, that sending ships through is also taking about threee times as long because of water scarcity and the extraordinary safeguard measures theyve had to put in place to be far more” hands on” with evry ship that passes through.
It was reported in January that one ship’s operator paid a $1.5 million dollar premium,… just to jump the que.! That must have been some ship full of Super Valuable cargo to pay that kindof premium. It was reported to be a ship with a cargo of distillates on board traveling from the gulf to Asia.
So, longer trips around the southern horns of Both continents will actually create a need for MORE ships to fill in this new time lag in the supply chain that these conditions have created, which should create very positive conditions for TORM looking forward
Additionally, as earnings are about to come out, there should be the usual influx of buyers who almost invariably jump in just to take advantage of the high dividend payout. So despite the allure of the Mag 6 hyper stocks, TORM should be another “stock of choice” to put money into again, continuing its well deserved steady, conservative uptrending pattern, and huge 20% dividend.
Earnings and the dividend will likely be the main catalysts that drive the price upward. I have and likely will continue to buy into any additional near term pullbacks.. As I dont think they any pullbacks will last. I also believe the stock will pick up some analyst upgrades in the near future as well,…. which will again, put upward pricing pressure on the stock.
