Q2 earning review 🔆

1. Which company’s Q2 earnings are you most satisfied or dissatisfied with?
Among only a handful of US stocks in my investment portfolio, Apple is the company that delivered Q2 earnings that I’m most satisfied with:
EPS: $1.52 per share vs. $1.43 expected
Revenue: $94.84 billion vs. $92.96 billion expected
Gross margin: 44.3% vs. 44.1% expected
Although the return is merely ~20% so far, I have faith that Apple (being world’s 1st $3 Trillion Company) is a company that’s going to weather through the storm amid the challenging environment and shall fly me to the moon.

2. Is now a good chance to own AI-related stocks or other stocks?
The future of AI holds immense potential and is likely to have a profound impact on various aspects of society and technology. The introduction of ChatGPT has been an eye opener and we are all thrilled by how capable AI is. However, what we have witnessed so far (i.e., ChatGPT, AI in healthcare/autonomous system, advanced machine learning, etc.) has yet to unveil its full capability. While we are not certain how far it can go, AI is definitely going to change the world in a big way!
Having said that, jumping on the bandwagon and starts owning AI-related stocks is definitely a right thing to do. You could have made a small fortune if you had it started earlier, but it’s never too late still. When considering AI-related stocks, you might want to look at companies involved in areas like machine learning, data analytics, robotics and AI software. Doing own due diligence and fundamental analysis on those companies are of no exception here.
Certainly, there’s always some arguments whether now is the right time to enter AI-related stock market in view of uncertainties arise from spiking bond yields, a rise in oil prices, lingering inflation and political uncertainty, etc. Well, you might have a different perspective then if you were to apply reverse thinking  ➡️ You are actually buying those stocks at a discounted price (paying less for more 😊).
