Nvidia signs of a 'limited' hiatus ahead of Blackwell launch: Keybank

“Analysts led by John Vin said in an investor memo, “Although next-generation Blackwell GPUs are expected to appear in the second half of the year, signs of a drop in demand are limited, and NVDA anticipates that F1Q financial results and F2Q guidance will significantly exceed expectations.

The company, led by Jensen Huang, is scheduled to announce quarterly results on May 22, and analysts say that upward revisions to the current fiscal year and guidance may be due to several factors. These include improvements in the supply of H100 GPUs, China's strong demand for H20 GPUs, and the initial launch of H200 GPUs.

Looking further ahead, analysts speculate that there is a possibility that the Blackwell chip line, which is scheduled to appear in the second half of this year, will grow data center sales to over 200 billion dollars.

“The B100 (drop-in replacement for the H100) and B200 are expected to start up in the 3rd quarter, and it seems that they will account for the majority of GPUs in the 4th quarter, and (average sales price) will be about 40% or more higher than Hopper,” the analyst stated. “Coupled with the launch of the H200, a smooth transition between Hopper and Blackwell is expected, and both product families will launch on CY25.
