Legal!? I think not.

One of my biggest issues with this, is that I have not been allowed to list my AMC shares for sale at a price much higher than the current asking rate.... I was informed that the market makers do not allow it!
They are essentially telling me I can't sell what I am told I own for what I want because we won't allow you! So that raises the question do any of us actually own any stocks that we paid for? I feel like the unfortunate answer is absolutely not. If they can tell you you're not allowed to ask 100,000 for your beat up Honda Civic listed for sale then they must be the ones who own the car not you. What they should do is honor your asking price for your shares and if you're going to be crazy, be crazy... but it should be none of their business how much you think your stocks are actually worth. That is your problem, but with a high price set these "spike glitches" would yield massive returns either in the market or in court.

  • Big Swing : you mean just pre-load your price and it just sit until it's reached? my guess is it would clutter up the order book, then there's the issue with if you want to later change that price, locate your order revise it? maybe I don't know

  • EnronOP Big Swing: If everybody were to pre-load a high price for the stock the institutions would have to either create more synthetic shares or pay your price…  almost like somebody who’s buying expensive sneakers if you want that sneaker and you couldn’t buy it from the store, you gotta pay the re-sale…. That applies to shoes, time pieces, cars, even gulfstream jets. It’s all supply and demand. A Nike shoe that sells for $200 is not “worth” $2000 but they still sell for $2k to the right buyer. The market makers are telling you that your shares are not worth a higher dollar amount and are not going to let you list them for a higher dollar amount. That’s my issue with all of this. and I’ve still yet to find anything on the SEC website stating that there limiting us is legal.

  • Big Swing EnronOP: maybe you can list a sell order for higher but it may fall within a percentage of the current ask? I know nothing I'm dumb money I attack with common logic something this world is in lack there of 😂

  • EnronOP Big Swing: I wouldn’t call yourself dumb money… legitimate money  at least 🤣💯 these people will take till there is nothing left then cry and receive a bail out smh. They need to lose everything and I’m not even exaggerating lol

  • Emotionless : Well i was able to set really high sale limit orders about a year ago. Then one day they just got rejected. They let big players spoof the price though. Put in buy orders and then they cancel them last minute.

Sell stocks not wolf tickets….. and Energy 🤣😎
