  • tikam-tikam : think can

  • 102413403 : Use odd number sell

  • 102566976 : yes you can sell it, as long as it's unfreeze or you have met whatever that is required from moomoo. I believe you are only allow to sell fractional share (less than 1 share) with a market order (sell to who ever that has the highest bid in the system at the point of time when you submit the sell order) in moomoo

  • 103153861OP 102566976: Thank you

  • 102566976 103153861OP: you're welcome :)

  • Earning Lunch Money : i also wan to sell but dk how

  • 102566976 Earning Lunch Money: look for the orange trade button under the chart tab. you'll get the rest of the process after tapping the trade button

  • spx666 102566976: I suspect fractional shares are handled by brokers themselves. Orders are not transmitted to the real market. cuz 1) it is too trivial to implement an order book for frac shares. hence mkt orders only. 2) frac shares cannot be transferred between brokers. only whole shares can be.

with the 2 reasons, I suspect frac shares are just recorded at the brokers' books. client A has 0.5 shares, client B has 1.5 shares. whale client C has 100 shares. broker just keep the aggregated number: 102 shares.

Your shares are not really your shares, but your broker's.  That's the default situation becuz the default type of account created with most brokers are margin accounts. and that is the real implication of "margin".

What? you want to really own your shares? Go for cash account.  but I promise you won't want to go throu the trouble. Limited financing. Longer time to settle shares etc.

  • 102566976 spx666: you're probably right. I've simplified my explanation to op in consideration that he might be new/seems to be new to trading
