A Tesla owner in California has sued the electric carmaker in a prospective class-action lawsuit that accuses the company of violating customers' privacy. They should just have SD card for the in-vehicle camera. Only the owner can view the content just like normal cars.

  • TeslaSmurf : No, that’s how the FSD program is developed: all cars send video feed-back to the company’s AI to improve the Self Driving System. Nobody is so ahead (5 years at least on that plan) and you accept it by signing when you buy the car. Quite hard to say IF there was a misuse of some recording. Still, it has to be proven: generally it’s recurrent FUD. Let’s wait and see…

  • TeslaSmurf 000000000: Yes, you approve it when you buy it. Your choice… Though the data is not the question, the question is IF there has been a leak in data. Same thing with Google, Facebook and all the socials: they record EVERYTHING about you (images too) and use it for commercial purposes. Tesla, at least, uses the data to feed the AI driving system: no commercial purposes.
