Invest safe in a bear market by cash plus/MMF
1. How much have you earned on moomoo Cash Plus?
2. Will there be a 50 basis point interest rate hike? How much will you invest in moomoo Cash Plus?
I invested in cash plus/market money fund (MMF) for a year or more (can't remember the actual date) and my profit is about SGD 1.5k in total. The 3 funds include
1) $Fullerton SGD Cash Fund(SG9999005961.MF$ 7d yield 3.92%
2) $CSOP USD Money Market Fund(SGXZ96797238.MF$ 7d yield 3.94%
3) $BNP Paribas USD Money Market(LU0012186622.MF$ 7d yield 5.03%
I think it's better than putting the money in fixed deposit (FD) because fund can be redeemed for investment in T+0 (1 & 2) and T+5 (3) business days as compared to high interest FD fund which hold for 1 year. I have the flexibility to redeem the fund and quickly invest in other stocks and options if opportunity comes.
FED will most likely raise rate by 50 bps which may push up cash plus' yield rate and appreciate USD currency. My USD MMF will gain more if USD currency appreciate. I'll plan to deposit more money in cash plus/MMF as it is a relatively more stable investment.

BFG energy is worst...4 months and still in minus

ZnWCOP Ravi_Sharma: You need to look at the yield rate. For cash plus, it shows 7-d yield and the revenue is positive (green) daily. Some fund like BFG energy showed 3 yrs yield - high return but also high volatility; meant for longer term investment. Hence you need to match your risk appetite.
Ravi_Sharma ZnWCOP: All data show the historical data and doesn't make sense for me. When I invested...I got minus in 4 months and not interested to keep for 3 yrs
...the moment I get same amount I will be be out from those funds. Stocks are better for me 
ZnWCOP Ravi_Sharma: Agree. Past performance doesn't guarantee future result. Read the the yield rate carefully and invest safe.
Starchin Ravi_Sharma: Better than FD?
ZnWCOP Starchin: Not all MMF are better than FD. You need to check the yield rate and select the fund that match your risk appetite.
Ravi_Sharma Starchin: my experience is moomoo cash plus only. Rest you need to check current price before investing in funds.
