Exchanging Currencies

While our universal account structure now automatically exchanges currencies for you, there may be some advantages to exchanging currencies at a different time. This can be done through the Moomoo app very easily.

Instructions

To do this, follow these steps:

Click Accounts -> Transfers -> Exchange and then select the currency you want to convert from and the currency you want to convert to. Then, type in the amount to convert and click submit.

Rates

Our currency exchange requests are completed in real-time and are based on the Moomoo US comprehensive rate.

Cost

The fee charged for currency conversion may be up to 300 basis points. For context, a basis point is 0.01%.

Cancelling Exchange Request

For exchanges initiated on non-trading days, you may be able to cancel your initiated exchange request. To do this, go to the exchange page (instructions above), scroll to the bottom, and click "Exchange History" at the bottom.

Maximum Currency Exchange

You may exchange only a certain amount of currency per day, depending on the kind of currency being exchanged. See the table below for more information.
